The project

Meeting of European junior ballets

The Fund is positioning itself towards young dancers aged 18 to 25 by supporting the first Meeting of European junior ballets. This event, which will take place from 16 to 23 March 2024 at the Pavillon Noir in Aix-en-Provence, will bring together dance professionals and enthusiasts around conferences, master classes and performances, with the aim of forging links and giving amateur dancers the best possible guidance in their lives as professional dancers. A first in Europe!

On the programme: discussions will be proposed on dance topics such as dancers' well-being and possible career changes after a career as a dancer. Different players in the field will be sharing their experiences to highlight the diversity and excellence that characterise the world of dance.

The aim of this event is to bring together members of Europe's dance eco-system in a collaborative atmosphere.

BALLET PRELJOCAJ JUNIOR

With thirty permanent dancers, the Ballet Preljocaj monitors the professional career of choreographic artists. Very invested in the preparation of their reconversion, the Ballet has also been involved since 2015 in the professional integration of young dancers with the Ballet Preljocaj Junior. Each year, six to twelve dancers aged 18 to 25 from the partner higher schools integrate for 11 months the activity of the National Choreographic Center: resumption of repertoire pieces, tours of the Ballet Preljocaj and personal creations...
