Happy New Year 2024!

January 12, 2024
Meeting of European junior ballets, Rualité, Orchestre Ostinato, The What Dance Can Do Project

The new year begins with the launch of our campaign to collect requests for support for Vintage 2024. From January 1 to March 31, we're listening to your projects. To tell us about them, go to the ephemeral tab on our website here.

This is an opportunity to remind you that the Fund's missions are focused on French cultural heritage, contemporary artistic creation, educational and social action and research.

2024 is a special year for young people and the marginalized.

Indeed, the Fund is positioning itself among young dancers aged 18 to 25 by supporting the first edition of the meetings of European junior ballets. Taking place from March 16 to 23, 2024 at the Pavillon Noir in Aix-en-Provence, this event will bring together dance professionals and enthusiasts around conferences, master classes and performative performances to forge links and best guide amateur dancers in their lives as professional dancers. A first-of-its-kind event in Europe!

For the young people at Collège Romain Rolland in Clichy-sous-Bois, the workshops and artistic residencies with What Dance Can Do are progressing, with a view to their mid-term performance in March.

We also invite you to discover the interviews with Morgane Billet and Cosima Brezovski, respectively choral conductor and violinist, who both work on the Ostinato orchestra's "In music for more humanity" project. These two amazing women, whom we met at the Fleury Merogis prison, tell us about their careers, share anecdotes and reveal what goes on behind the scenes in their workshops with inmates. In 2024, the Ostinato Orchestra will take over the Musée d'Orsay for its final concert.

Finally, Bintou Dembélé takes us on a very special tour of the cultural resources, an audio, video and book archive that presents the world of street dance and the history of minority cultures. Using documents that are sometimes very personal, the founder of Rualité aims to help young and old alike complete her cultural imagination. Follow the link to discover the video here.

In this way, the projects we support offer unusual prospects, but with the idea of opening up new avenues for young people and marginalized people in the New Year. Subscribe to our newsletter here, and we'll be sure to share all the latest news with you.

Stay up to date with the project
