Between September 2026 and August 2027, La Source Garouste will organize four art workshops, each lasting an average of 20 hours, across three departments (Eure, Seine-Maritime and Paris).

Each workshop will welcome up to 12 children and young people experiencing vulnerability, who will explore an artistic theme and medium (visual arts, performing arts or crafts). Led jointly by a professional artist and a social educator, the workshops will consist of several sessions and will conclude with a presentation event open to participants’ families and loved ones, during which the children and young people will present their work and speak in public.

The presentation events will conclude with a convivial gathering over refreshments, providing an opportunity to celebrate the participants’ work and strengthen the relationships between the young people, their families, the artists and the supporting organizations.

Beneficiaries:

Up to 48 children and young people experiencing social, economic and educational vulnerability, aged 6 to 18, referred by social, educational and medico-social organizations operating under the French Child Welfare system (Aide Sociale à l’Enfance).

At the end of each workshop, time will be dedicated to impact measurement questionnaires, as well as to collecting feedback and testimonials from participants, families, educational teams and partners.

This evaluation will help provide a better understanding of the effects of artistic practice on self-confidence, self-expression, social connections and young people’s development.
